Les Sources was built in the 19th century as the hotel, servicing the local railway station. We are at the heart of the Cantal Mountains, Auvergne. Our home is situated along a quiet lane just 1km from the village of St Jacques des Blats. The village nestles in the foothills of the Plomb du Cantal at an altitude of 990m. It is rumoured to be named after the pilgrim ’St Jacques de Compostelle’ who passed through on his way to Cahors and beyond. Our house, in fact, sits directly on the restored and re-mapped pilgrimage route.
Our location offers our guests the best of every season with a peaceful, picture-perfect place to go walking or cycling in spring, summer and autumn and then in winter, it becomes a haven for skiing and snow-shoeing, with the ski station of Super Lioran is just 6km from St Jacques des Blats with equipment hire shops, bars and restaurants.
