You get dressed and prepare breakfast. While you drink your coffee, you observe a little long-tailed tit taking a bath in the water caught between the aloe leaves. It’s time to work. Of course you have to work, like everybody does. But you don’t need to take the car or hop on the bus or train spending hours in traffic jams – no, working from home there is none of the noise and stress of the city.
Is this a dream?
Not at all. At least it doesn’t have to be one. We have lived like this for almost 20 years now. We built Villa Matilde up from the very beginning. It’s our home and also our rural hotel business in the Sierra de Andujar (South of Spain). Nowadays, and despite the economical crisis, Villa Matilde is a successful enterprise.
After working very intensely for many years, it’s now time to take a step back and enjoy our lives and so we have decided to take a vacation with no end date – also known as retirement. It is for this reason that the business is for sale.

Villa Matilde is since 1999 a Boutique hotel and a nature education centre in Andalusia (Spain). It is located nearby the Nature Park Sierra de Andújar, which is part of the Sierra Morena in the North of Andalusia. The house was built in 1926 and part of the original interior has been preserved.
